To all valued customers,

Since copper prices have risen to new levels, theft of copper products has become a huge problem in all parts of the country. Linesets, Inc. has been proactive fighting this problem for the past 3 years by marking the line set as it is produced. We have installed specially designed high output inkjet printing systems that mark a customer's name, the part number and date the line set was produced (see photo to right). We have heard several companies applaud our efforts since they were able to prosecute thieves based on the identification process we employ.
We wanted to make all of you aware of another system now in use in Arizona to further stem the theft of copper. The Arizona legislature recently adopted laws on the books curtailing cash disbursements for copper scrap. Quite simply, anyone turning in scrap for dollars must have adequate ID and submit to a legible fingerprint process. Further, all scrap amounts in excess of $25 are to be paid by check within a seven day period. The ramifications of this new law should all but put an end to the every day thief. Those more sophisticated will definitely find a loophole, but it is our hope this halts 95% of the illegal theft of our products.
Since we sell copper products nationwide we wanted to make all our customers aware of ways to combat this growing problem (read how the State of Arizona is cracking down here). We want to encourage you to become involved at your local and/or state level and suggest a similar type law aimed at stopping the copper thieves.
As always, we at Linesets, Inc. appreciate your business. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to streamline our processes to provide a better end product to you our valued customer. Thanks again.
